Honestly, I would have never thought that life would steer me in the direction it has. In the blink of an eye, my life changed dramatically.

I remember when I was 14 years old watching videos on youtube when it was first starting up.

Since fitness was my thing I was always watching fitness channels trying to learn new information. Around this time, a guy named Elliott Hulse came out with his own channel called Strength Camp.

I instantly fell in love with the channel. He trained a certain way that hooked me to his videos. Every day I would learn something new and every day I would try and implement it to my own training.

Throughout the years, I had a deep feeling that one day I would move to Florida and work at Strength Camp.

A dream that most people would laugh at or think I’m dreaming too big, not in my eyes though.

Growing up learning from guys over the internet created a passion for me to follow. I too wanted this life and knew that I was going to achieve it somehow.

I wanted to run my own fitness blog and eventually open my own warehouse gym. This was my plan since I was 14 and it still is today.

Years have passed since I planted that seed inside my head, and every year I’ve somehow made the right decisions that have led me to achieve these goals I set forth at 14.

Well, everything I’ve done so far in my life I believe I’ve done right. It has led me to the exact life I dreamed of when I was young.

About 3 weeks ago I got a message from Chris Barnard on facebook. This was out of nowhere. I’ve communicated with Chris before when I was creating my first online program, Truth About How To Catch A Football. But I’ve never actually met him or spoke with him in real life.

We chatted on iMessage for a bit, going back and forth about how we were doing and how our businesses were advancing.

One thing led to another and we ended up scheduling a Skype call. This was exciting for me and I couldn’t wait to talk to someone that I’ve been following online ever since he was one of Elliott’s athletes on his youtube videos back in 2007.

Little did I know that this call was going to completely change my life.

The day came for our Skype call and I sat in front of my computer until the time came for us to talk. We spoke for about 30 minutes and at the end he offered me a chance to move down to Florida and work at Strength Camp and help build his business Overtime Athletes.

After we parted ways I was in shock. I couldn’t believe that this offer was on the table. An opportunity to do exactly what I was dreaming of at 14.

I knew that there was no way I was going to let this pass by. No matter what it took I was going to make it to Florida.

Right away I told him “YES!”

I took the offer even though I had no idea how I was going to do it.

I’m happy to say that everything worked out and I found a way to make it to Florida. I always tell myself that “if this is meant to be it will happen”.

Not just about this experience but with everything in my life. This is how I view it.

Now people might think that luck had something to do with me getting this opportunity to work at Strength Camp.

And I’ll admit that my life is a little luck but a whole lot of grind and hustle.

I’ve had to make choices that scared the shit out of me but deep down I knew they were the right ones.

Fear has never steered me away from my decisions. And that’s honestly what stops people from living fulfilled lives. People are too afraid to take a leap of faith, and I’m not any different, I’m afraid as well.

But I don’t let the feeling of fear stop me. I’ve learned to seek out that feeling and punch it in the face.

There’s no doubt in my mind that all the decisions I’ve had to make in my life thus far have been the right ones. And I owe it all to following my heart.

Listen to your heart, your mind will be there to rationalize everything but in order to live big and fulfilled lives you need to do big and irrational shit.

It might be irresponsible of me to recommend you to do something that you’re afraid of, I mean you’re afraid for a reason. But from personal experiences that feeling is exactly what you need to overcome and just do it.

Nothing great in life comes without risk, and if you’re willing to take that risk the reward can be ten fold.
